2. Non-delegable sponsor authority under 22 CFR § 62.32
All activities described on this website operate strictly upstream of formal sponsor review. Under U.S. Department of State regulations governing the Summer Work Travel category (22 CFR § 62.32):
- Host employer vetting (22 CFR § 62.32(g) & (n)): Only a designated U.S. sponsor may vet prospective U.S. host employers, verify Federal Employer Identification Numbers (EIN), confirm Workers’ Compensation insurance coverage, and approve a Job Offer (Form DS-7007).
- Preliminary nature of Sumeria briefs: Opportunity briefs, worksite summaries and introductions prepared by Sumeria are preliminary informational leads compiled for agency evaluation. They do not constitute verified J-1 job offers or approved placements unless and until formally vetted and confirmed in writing by the responsible designated U.S. sponsor.
- Third-party & foreign entity compliance (22 CFR § 62.32(n)–(o)): Any cooperation between an international agency, a prospective U.S. employer and Sumeria must be disclosed to and conducted in full compliance with the policies of the responsible designated U.S. sponsor.
3. Prohibition on employer placement incentives
In strict compliance with 22 CFR § 62.32(g)(1), Sumeria and its prospective partners never offer, pay, or provide financial incentives, rebates, or compensation of any kind to U.S. host employers to accept J-1 exchange visitor participants.
4. Excluded & restricted position categories (22 CFR § 62.32(h)–(i))

6. No guarantee of placement, hiring or commercial agreement
Submitting an inquiry through this website or communicating with Sumeria by email does not create a binding contract, agency relationship, fiduciary duty, or guarantee of seasonal staffing, employer introductions, sponsor approval, or visa issuance.
