Find prospective U.S. employers with clearer information.
We source potential seasonal employers and help prepare the core details your team needs to explore a placement with its designated U.S. sponsor.
Employer sourcing, built around what agencies need to know.
We focus on the early work of identifying employers and organizing the information that helps agencies decide which conversations to take further.
Share your requirements
Tell us which student markets, seasons, states and job types are most relevant to your agency.
Review potential opportunities
We share employer details as they become available, including gaps that still need confirmation.
Continue through your sponsor
Your agency and designated U.S. sponsor handle the required screening, approvals and program administration.
Know what has been confirmed.
We separate preliminary information from details that still need to be checked.
Employer and position
Business identity, worksite location, role, duties and anticipated seasonal dates.
Pay and work schedule
Advertised hourly compensation, expected hours and known conditions.
Living arrangements
Housing availability, costs, deposits and commuting options where information is provided.
Approval status
Clear distinction between a prospective lead and a placement formally reviewed by a designated sponsor.
Before we start.
Do you issue J-1 job offers or DS-2019 forms?
No. Sumeria is an independent sourcing and coordination project. Designated U.S. sponsors are responsible for program decisions, required checks and DS-2019 issuance.
Are the opportunities already approved by a sponsor?
Unless explicitly confirmed through the responsible sponsor, information we share is preliminary. Agency partners and their sponsors must complete applicable screening and approval before treating an opportunity as a placement.
Which employers do you work with?
Our focus is on U.S. businesses with seasonal roles such as hospitality and tourism. Any individual employer and job must still be evaluated for program suitability.
What are your commercial terms?
Terms are discussed individually after we understand your needs and confirm that the proposed arrangement is acceptable to the relevant sponsor and applicable rules. We do not advertise a fixed commission before that review.
What agencies can evaluate before an introduction
This is an information checklist, not a sponsor approval checklist. Record the source, date and any unanswered questions for each item.
| Area | Information to request | Review question |
|---|---|---|
| Employer identity | Legal business name, worksite address and responsible contact | Is the actual employer and worksite clear? |
| Role and season | Duties, dates, number of openings and expected interaction with U.S. citizens | Is the work seasonal or temporary and suitable for cultural exchange? |
| Pay and hours | Hourly rate, expected weekly hours, deductions and overtime terms | Are the written conditions complete enough for sponsor review? |
| Housing and commute | Availability, address, rent, deposits and transport costs | Are suitable, affordable arrangements realistically available? |
| Sponsor decision | Responsible designated sponsor and written approval status | What remains unverified before anyone treats this as a placement? |
